The de Young is one of San Francisco’s premier art museums, hosting a massive collection of art, ranging from its impressive permanent collection to temporary exhibitions. The museum is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, and frequently hosts various events in the gallery space.
This summer, the de Young is hosting an artisan fair featuring local artisans inside the museum. The fair first debuted several years ago and is now returning for 2026 on July 17 and 18. The two-day fair will run from 9:30 am to 5 pm at the Wiley Court in the museum. The space is one that does not require a museum ticket for entry; however, Saturdays at the museum are free for San Francisco residents. You can expect to shop a curated selection of crafts, jewelry, textiles, and home furnishings, perfect for a unique gift or souvenir.
While at the fair, we recommend exploring the museum’s many galleries. The fair comes during the last days of an exciting Monet exhibition, which closes on July 26, 2026. The exhibit, Monet and Venice, features paintings from Monet’s time in Venice and some pieces from his iconic Water Lilies series.
The de Young Museum is located at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr in Golden Gate Park. There is a parking garage under the Music Concourse near the museum, or you can access the museum via public transportation.
