This July, a popular free block party is returning to SF’s Front Street entertainment zone. The free street parties, called Fridays on Front Street, will start this July, bringing live music, drinks, and fun activities to Downtown SF this summer.
Fridays on Front Street July 2026

The 2026 block party is on Friday, July 31, and is themed Brat + Bratwurst Summer, taking inspiration from Charli XCX’s iconic Brat album, just a week before she headlines Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park. The party will feature a Charli XCX lookalike contest, with winners receiving festival passes for Noise Pop 2027. You can also get your face painted Brat green at a face-painting station and have your portrait drawn by local caricature artists.
Attendees can also look forward to games like beer pong and drinks from the participating bars on the street. The area is an entertainment zone, which means attendees 21 and over can take to-go beverages within the block party. Fridays on Front Street is just one of many ongoing public events to bring more business and people to Downtown San Francisco.
“Fridays on Front Street has become a great example of what happens when you invest in the public realm and create reasons for people to stay downtown after work,” said Robbie Silver, President & CEO of the Downtown SF Partnership. “These evenings bring together live music, local businesses, and thousands of people in a way that supports our restaurants, activates our streets, and showcases the kind of downtown we’re building. We’re excited to bring the series back in 2026 with fresh themes, new experiences, and even more opportunities for people to connect with downtown San Francisco.”
The July 31 event is the first of three events, with one scheduled for August 21 and the final party on October 9. The party will run from 4 to 9 pm and will be held in the Front Street entertainment zone.
