Independence Day is this weekend, and you can expect many exciting celebrations around San Francisco. While classic Fourth of July celebrations typically include fireworks and barbecues, San Franciscans can look forward to some exciting day parties featuring major EDM artists.
ILLUM Block Party at the Midway

On Saturday, July 4, popular concert venue The Midway is hosting one of its popular block parties with a packed lineup. The event is headlined by deadmau5 and Nero. You can also expect Cristoph b2b Rebūke and Maneki on the outdoor stage and a Bad Apple takeover inside. The party will start at 3 pm and run until 10 pm, giving attendees plenty of time to dance.
You can expect food and drinks available for purchase at the block party. The Midway’s outdoor block parties are always popular events, drawing large crowds for daytime dancing on both outdoor and indoor stages. Tickets are on sale now, and we recommend getting yours soon, as several tiers have already sold out.
If you can’t make it to the block party on Saturday, the venue is also hosting a Shrek Rave on Friday, July 3. The comical rave is just as it sounds, and is perfect for a silly night out to start the holiday weekend.
