The Ferry Building is a lively hub for businesses and community events in San Francisco, with regular fitness classes, farmers’ markets, and more. The historic waterfront building is home to many local businesses, including Fort Point Beer Co, which will host an outdoor movie series in the Ferry Building Beer Garden this May.
The movie series, Ferry Flicks, is set for Friday Nights at the brewery’s Ferry Building location, starting on Friday, May 1st, with a screening of the classic musical Grease. Tickets to the film screening start at $9.31 and include chips and a reserved seat. Of course, you can order from a selection of beers on Fort Point’s menu, with a late-night happy hour menu featuring $5 draft pours. You can also purchase snacks and candy from local businesses inside the Ferry Building and bring them into the movie.
The event will start at 7 pm with drag bingo hosted by Oaklash, and the movie will start at approximately 8 pm when the sun goes down.

Check out the full Ferry Flicks schedule here:
- May 1: Grease
- May 8: Crazy Rich Asians
- May 15: Moonrise Kingdom
- May 22: Bend It Like Beckham
The screenings are in the North Plaza of the Ferry Building in Fort Point’s outdoor beer garden. We recommend bringing layers, as the waterfront can be chilly at night.
The Ferry Building hosts various events every month, including board game nights, free yoga classes on Mondays, and even a weekly Mahjong meet-up on Wednesdays. You can also explore the bustling marketplace, which includes restaurants and shops, including Dandelion Chocolate, Hog Island Oyster Company, Gott’s Roadside, and many more.
