Night Markets have become increasingly popular in San Francisco, with multiple popular night markets popping up throughout the city, often on a monthly basis. Now, a new night market series has been announced, this time in the Fillmore District. The new night market is intended to celebrate the culture and history of the Fillmore. The new night market is building on the success of a previous holiday night market in the neighborhood.
A new SF night market
The Fillmore After Dark night market series will start on Friday, May 22, between 4 and 9 pm. Attendees can expect plenty of local food vendors, live music, and retail vendors. For fans of Bingo, you can join a lively game based on the history of the Fillmore and Western Addition neighborhoods. Plus, the event is family-friendly and will include a kids’ zone with skating, painting, and more.
“This market aims to honor the culture and history of the Fillmore and create new opportunities for local businesses and artists to thrive,” said Luke Spray, Executive Director of the Civic Joy Fund. “This is a chance for the Fillmore community to celebrate what makes this neighborhood so special, and an invitation for surrounding neighborhoods to come and explore.”
The night markets will continue throughout 2026. Remaining night markets are scheduled for August 21, October 31, and December 11, 2026.
Other popular night markets we recommend checking out include the Sunset Night Market, which is known for drawing major crowds, and Valencia LIVE! Valencia LIVE! will return for 2026 on May 14, taking over several blocks on Valencia Street in the Mission.
Fillmore After Dark will debut on May 22 on the 1400 Block of Fillmore Street and O’Farrell. We recommend taking public transit, as it may be difficult to find parking in the area. The market is the work of multiple organizations, including the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Civic Joy Fund, Livable City, Burge LLC, and Citizen Film.
