This June is Pride Month, and San Francisco has plenty of amazing events happening all month. One of our favorite event series is Drag Me Downtown, which hosts free drag shows at various venues around the city. Keep reading to learn more about the exciting series of drag performances.
Free drag shows in San Francisco this June

The series of free drag shows will start on Friday, June 5, and occur weekly until the end of the month. The free shows will take place at various venues in Downtown San Francisco, including the Ferry Building, a scenic conservatory, and more. The series saw a major increase in attendance last year, and the free shows are highly anticipated for 2026.
“What started as a small‑scale series has grown into a landmark downtown experience, drawing hundreds of people to each event in some of San Francisco’s most iconic venues,” said Robbie Silver, President and CEO of the Downtown SF Partnership. “Attending a Drag Me Downtown show means experiencing immense joy alongside more people than we ever imagined, reflecting on why we are committed to presenting programs that are firmly aligned with San Francisco’s values.”
The four shows will feature 13 local performers, including Bobby Friday, Curveball, Hennessy Williams, and more. The program is presented by the Downtown SF Partnership in collaboration with The Transgender District, and while the performances are free to attend, organizers encourage donations to The Transgender District.

The free performances take place every Friday in June, with doors opening at 4:30 pm and the shows running from 5 to 7 pm.
