This fall, a fascinating new exhibit is coming to SFMOMA, featuring the personal art collection of K-pop idol RM. The beloved performer is known for being a member of the iconic group BTS, and he is lending artworks from his personal collection to the SFMOMA for the exhibition.
“Visitors will have an unprecedented opportunity to explore RM’s beautiful and contemplative collection of paintings and sculpture in dialogue with works from SFMOMA’s holdings, inviting us to make new discoveries and reflect on our own relationships with art,” said Janet Bishop, Thomas Weisel Family Chief Curator at SFMOMA.
How to get tickets to RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me
The exhibition isn’t set to open until October 3, 2026, but tickets will go on sale a few months in advance. SFMOMA will release tickets for the upcoming exhibition on August 11, 2026. If you are a member at SFMOMA, you can purchase tickets earlier, on August 4. We recommend signing up for ticket alerts, as the exhibit is expected to be popular and you’ll want to secure your tickets in advance.
About RM x SFMOMA
The exhibit will feature close to 150 works from RM’s collection, comprising works by Korean and international artists. Notable artists in the exhibition include Yun Hyong-keun, Park Rehyun, Kwon Okyon, Kim Yun Shin, To Sangbong, and Chang Ucchin. An additional 40 works from SFMOMA’s collection are included to complete the exhibit. The exhibit will open on October 3 , 2026 and run until February 7, 2027.
