Garrison Brothers Distillery was founded in 2010 and is based an hour west of Austin in Hye, Texas. Garrison Brothers Distillery is credited with producing the first legally made bourbon whisky in Texas, a spirit most famously produced in Kentucky. The intense Texas climate was originally a hurdle for the distillery, which lost a few early batches to the scorching summer heat. They learned to adapt to the extreme climate and continue to produce a bourbon that benefits from the multiple aging seasons that the 130°F weather provides.
The Bourbon Takeover of America will run from Sept 1st through 30th. Learn more at the Garrison Brothers Distillery website.
