San Francisco has plenty of amazing restaurants, from neighborhood favorites to internationally recognized fine dining establishments. With new openings happening frequently, it’s always an exciting time to eat out in SF. Recently, the prestigious Michelin Guide, known for awarding coveted stars, added four new restaurants to their guide. San Francisco currently has 28 restaurants, which have been awarded at least one of the iconic stars and many more as part of the guide. The four new additions include Verjus, Four Kings, Prelude, and The Wild, with Oakland’s Sun Moon Studio also making the guide.
Verjus
The cozy restaurant is the newest venture from the duo behind three Michelin-star restaurant Quince. The restaurant features a simple bistro menu displayed on the wall, complete with an extensive wine menu. The bistro is already popular, but walk-ins are welcome, and you can always have a glass of wine by the bar.

Four Kings
Located in Chinatown, this intimate restaurant serves Hong Kong-style cuisine, complete with 90s nostalgia. With lamb skewers, scallop vermicelli, and Escargot with milk bread, the menu is packed with plenty of mouthwatering options. The restaurant was recently ranked in the top 50 in the country according to the New York Times, so it’s no surprise it made the Michelin Guide.
📍Location: 710 Commercial St, San Francisco
Prelude
Elevated southern cuisine is the main event at Prelude. Chef Celtin Hendrickson-Jones draws from his grandmother’s time in Alabama as inspiration for his food, serving dishes like fried chicken and smoked pork belly biscuits. The restaurant offers an a la carte option or a tasting menu, and we recommend snagging a reservation in advance.
📍Location: 333 Battery St. San Francisco
The Wild
Located in Downtown SF, The Wild focuses on using local California ingredients to create their menus. The restaurant aims to “reconnect with the natural world,” offering dishes like grilled mussels, sea urchin noodles, and blood orange sorbet. Guests can choose from an a la carte menu or a Chef’s Choice for their meal.
