The bread kits cost $25 and it comes with the following: dry ingredients to make your bread starter, a Bread Starter food packet, dry bread mix to for your first loaf of bread, and instructions to “create and maintain the eternal bread of life” (you will need to get more flour, water and oil for the starter after the first kit, however).

As we’ve all become familiar with Live Instagram tutorials to guide us through our new lives indoors, the bakery has conveniently created a tutorial in their highlights for you to follow here with Q&A’s about raising a healthy ball of yeast here.

How to get a kit

To get your hands on a kit, you can order it through Postmates, DoorDash, and Uber Eats between 9am and 4pm daily, if you live in San Francisco or LA.

If you live around Highland Park in LA you can stop by the store, which has been transformed into a grocery store stocking supplies like eggs, flour and deli meat. Additionally, they’re giving other ingredients and spices away for whatever price you can pay. All proceeds go to their employees and the new operating times are 10am to 3pm daily.

If you’re a little further away from the action, then the bakehouse is shipping kits to 15 states around the country and you can place orders on their specially made website www.mrholmeskits.com.

Along with this wholesome news, the company has also been working towards getting jam kits, ready-to-bake cookies and oat kits made up for the drooling citizens.
