Off The Grid: Fort Mason Center (OTG:FMC) is California’s largest weekly food truck event, and this year marks its 12th season. The free events bring dozens of gourmet food trucks to the Fort Mason Center parking lot on Friday evenings from 5pm-10pm, now through November 11.
This Friday, July 22 is Fog Appreciation Day in honor of SF’s unofficial mascot, Karl the Fog. Be sure to wear all white to get 10% off at the bar! Enjoy fog-themed food and drinks like foggy charcoal milk tea from Kiss My Boba, Karl Irish iced coffee from Rye Bar, local crafts from Foggy Notions, weather-inspired poetry by Ben Bernthal, and live weather reports and fun fog facts from meteorologist Jessica Burch.
Other events include Family Fridays with fun kid-friendly activities on the first Friday of every month and Fido Fridays for dogs and their owners on the third Friday of every month. Additional upcoming special events include:
- Noodle Night on August 19
- Mid-Autumn Festival on September 9
A host of beloved local food trucks will be coming around to these events, such as Al Pastor Papi, Bacon Bacon, Capelo’s Barbecue, and Humphry Slocombe ice cream. New vendors joining this year include California Kahve (coffee caravan), Chick’N Bros (Nashville hot chicken sandwiches), El Fuego (crispy tacos, burritos, and more), and Vegan Mob Inc (vegan barbecue and soul food).
OTG:FMC will also bring a fun rotating entertainment lineup, plus monthly events and themed nights. This is the first food truck market in California to have a full bar and live music throughout the season.
Be sure to check out the OTG:FMC from 5pm-10pm on Friday evenings at the Fort Mason Center parking lot. The event is free to attend and will recur every Friday through November 11.
