San Francisco’s beloved Crème Brûlée Cart is back, and its proprietor Branson Kimball is throwing another free pancake party on Saturday, February 12 from 9-11am. Show up on Alabama Street between Cesar Chavez and Precita Ave for a flipping awesome pancake breakfast. Toppings are said to include maple syrup, caramel sauce, and whipped cream on plain, blueberry, and chocolate chip pancakes.

Last weekend, Kimball threw a free pancake party attracting about 75 neighbors, according to ABC7. He served up 125 free pancakes and it was a blast! He later tweeted, ” If you’re hungry to connect, chances are good other people are too. We’re all tired from the last 2 years(6 years really), but there’s something incredibly rejuvenating about experiencing little joys with other humans.”
San Francisco is in a bad way. Vibes are all effed up. I can’t do much to solve the problems here, but I can make pancakes. So I hung up fliers all over the neighborhood and made pancakes. Over 75 people came and over 125 pancakes were eaten. Here’s what I learned: 👇 pic.twitter.com/EnGKW8tL7g

According to SFist, Kimball’s Crème Brûlée Cart first started making the rounds on SF sidewalks about 10 years ago. The cart closed in 2016, but Kimball decided to throw a pancake party last weekend out of the blue. No word on whether his business will be up and running again, but we’re sure grateful for the pancakes!
Kimball will host another pancake party tomorrow morning, Saturday, February 12 from 9-11am. Find it at Alabama Street between Cesar Chavez and Precita Ave, and follow @pancakeswfrnds on Twitter for updates.
