The Park Market came to Crane Cove Park in the Dogpatch starting in the second part of 2023. The waterfront market was wildly popular and drew thousands. Now, it’s back for another year, starting this May and going through October.
“The enthusiastic reception last year showed us that the Dogpatch and Potrero community is
craving programming at Crane Cove Park. This year, our motto is: bigger, better, more,” said
Drew Becher, CEO of SF Parks Alliance.”
The Park Market will take place from 11am-5pm on the following dates in 2024:
- May 25: In The Black
- June 29: SarangHello
- July 27: Noise Pop and OEWD
- August 31: Lover’s Lane
- September 28: Feirce Fat Femme
- October 26: SF Art Book Fair
Each market will feature great live musical performances, delicious food and drink vendors, and fun activities including FREE paddle boarding lessons from Dogpatch Paddle. Each month the market will feature a section of vendors curated by a community organization. The May market will feature curation by In The Black, a market place led by Black creators in SF.
Food for the monthly markets is from En2Action, which will spotlight Black-owned businesses for the market.
The Park Market is a market from the SF Parks Alliance, which is responsible for various other community projects and events throughout the city including Sundown Cinema, Due South, Entwined, and more. Its location in the 7-acre Crane Cove Park will make for a delightful new waterfront experience in one of SF’s coolest neighborhoods. The area features a public beach, ample green space, picnic and barbecue areas, a dog run, two children’s play areas, and much more.
“With waterfront views and the kind of weather you can only wish for at Ocean Beach, Crane Cove Park is tailor-made for an event like The Park Market. It’s the kind of place you want to enjoy all day, and with live music and local eats lining the park, you can,” said Drew Becher, CEO of SF Parks Alliance.
The waterfront market starts on May 25 and will be the last Saturday of the month through October. The market runs from 11 am until 5 pm.
