A massive, 10-hour free music festival will take over Polk Street this week, as part of the neighborhood’s annual block party. Pickin’ on Polk is a free block party on Polk Street organized by Discover Polk, a community benefit nonprofit for the neighborhood. The block party will close Polk Street to car traffic for the celebration, with a main stage located on Polk and Broadway.
The block party is a major event for the neighborhood, featuring multiple stages with live music, DJs, and even drag shows. You can also expect a night market starting at 6 pm, and the celebration will continue until 10 pm.
The main stage will be on Polk and Broadway, featuring local bands like Careless Whisper, The Vivants, and more. You can also expect multiple DJs at night, a drag show, and even Luce Libre.
