The Portola Music Festival is San Francisco’s newest live music festival happening on Sept 30-Oct. 1 at Pier 80. They just released the 2023 lineup with headliners Skrillex and Eric Prydz, plus a host of other exciting talent including Nelly Furtado, Major Lazer, Jon Hopkins, Labrinth, Thundercat, and so many more. Check out the full lineup below.
The two-day electronic music festival takes place both indoors and outdoors on Pier 80, which sits on SF’s eastern waterfront. The artists will perform across 4 separate stages — one big outdoor stage at the pier, and 3 indoor stages in the warehouse and on-site tents. The festivities will run from about 1-11pm and vendors will be cash-free.
The website advises that guests take public transportation to the event because there is no festival parking available. There will be free shuttles running on a loop between Pier 80 and the 24th St. Mission BART Station.
Single-day general admission passes are now available at $245.95 + fees and the 2-day general admission pass costs $359.95 + fees. VIP tickets, which get you access to VIP viewing areas, dedicated restrooms, and exclusive food/drink vendors, start at $324.95 + fees for single-day tickets and $599.95 + fees for 2-day tickets. Keep in mind that there’s an 8-pass limit per household.
The Portola Festival had a bit of a rocky start last year for its first-ever event, but guests were stoked on the 2022 lineup which included titans such as the Chemical Brothers, Flume, The Avalanches, Fatboy Slim, and more. The Instagram announcement for the 2023 lineup blew up with nearly 20K likes in just 24 hours, so it’s safe to say that people are feeling some type of way about this year’s performers.
The Portola Festival is presented by Goldenvoice, the promoter behind popular festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach as well as SF venues The Warfield and Great American Music Hall. You can learn more about the 2023 Portola Festival here.
