The San Francisco Giants host the Yankees at Oracle Park in a three-game series to open the 2026 baseball season.
Opening Night – Game 1: Wednesday, March 25, 2026
The first game has a prime-time spotlight, as it’s the only game on the MLB’s entire schedule that night. First pitch of opening night is at 5:05 p.m. PST, streaming exclusively on Netflix.
Traditional Opening Day – Game 2: Friday, March 27, 2026
This is the one Giants fans will recognize as the real home opener, with the full ceremonial treatment, pregame festivities, a military flyover, and a commemorative pin for every fan in attendance. First pitch is at 1:35 p.m. PST on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Game 3: Saturday, March 28, 2026
The series wraps with a 4:15 p.m. PST first pitch at Oracle Park. The first 15,000 fans through the gates will receive a bobblehead of Willy Adames, the team’s shortshop.
What’s new this 2026 season for the SF Giants and fans?
The Giants recently unveiled a new black “Gigantes” jersey, worn every Saturday home game, as part of a new campaign inspired by the Bay Area’s Latino community called Puro Bay Ball.
On the field, Tony Vitello takes over as manager, coming straight from the University of Tennessee, where he led the Vols to their first-ever national championship in 2024. He’s the first MLB manager to come directly from a college program.
The team roster also adds Luis Arráez, Harrison Bader, and Tyler Mahle.
At Oracle Park, new food includes Pacific Eats rice bowls, loaded quesadillas, and birria grilled cheeses. Select promo nights will also have exclusive limited menu items at the park, like Citrus Boba available on Anime Night, which happens July 6.

Making it to a San Fransisco Giants game this season
The Giants offer $14 tickets to select games in the View Reserve and Bleachers seats.
Students can get in for as low as $10 on Friday night games. Teachers and healthcare workers can save up to 40% on select games, also starting at $10 with no added fees.
For most games, tickets are available the day before or even day-of, weekday games tend to be the most affordable and easiest to walk into. For the more high-demand matchups, like the Dodgers or Yankees series, we recommend buying ahead.
Oracle Park is one of the best ballpark experiences in the country regardless of the score. If there’s ever a season to make it out, this is a good one.
