How to enjoy later sunsets in SF
Later sunsets in San Francisco mean more time to enjoy daylight in our beautiful city, and we have plenty of ideas on how to make the most of these longer days.
- Check out a rooftop bar: While the chilly, windy winters can make rooftop bars seem too cold for comfort, they’re perfect for a sunny evening. Chotto Matte, RH, and Charmaines are all wonderful spots to grab a drink with a view. Check out the full list of rooftop bars in SF.
- Enjoy an outdoor dinner: The longer days and warmer temperatures make outdoor dining ideal. We recommend checking out Foreign Cinema, which has a secluded patio featuring film screenings. Blue Whale is another delicious option, with a beautiful back patio. Finally, Epic Stake offers waterfront views at their outdoor patio to complement their steaks.
- Take in the scenery at a beautiful lookout: There are plenty of scenic spots to watch for a colorful sunset, including Twin Peaks, Ina Coolbrith Park, and Sutro Heights Park. See the full list of sunset spots here.
