
San Francisco Beer Week is officially upon us, and it’s a special opportunity to explore some of the best craft beers the Bay Area has to offer. Plenty of local breweries will be putting on special promotions and events starting today, February 11 and going through Sunday, February 20. Read on to discover what’s on tap in San Francisco and beyond.
The Bay Area Brewers Guild will start Beer Week with 5 different kick-off parties around the Bay Area. San Francisco’s will be at Harmonic Brewing – Thrive City this afternoon (Friday 2/11), and you can still grab last-minute tickets for $50 each.
Throughout the week there are dozens of epic events and specials going on throughout the Bay. Here are a few to keep an eye out for:
Central Coast Regional Tap Takeover
2pm-9pm Saturday, February 12
Tiger’s Taproom – 308 Jackson St, Ste 4, Oakland
Five Central Coast breweries will take over the taps at Tiger’s Taproom, with reps present to teach customers about each one. Cousins Maine Lobster will be present serving up delicious mouthwatering lobster rolls.
In Good Company Dinner Party
5:30pm and 8pm Saturday, February 12
City Beer – 1148 Mission St, San Francisco
An epic 3-course barbecue dinner with food from Hooligan Smoke Club and 9 select beers from Sante Adairius, Wondrous Brewing and Private Press. Tickets are $95.
Grain to Glass: A Farmer, Maltster and Brewer(s) Walk into a Bar
1pm, 2pm, and 3pm Saturday, February 12
Admiral Maltings – 651A W Tower Ave, Alameda
Take a tour of Admiral Maltings, the first barley malting facility in California. Learn about each step of the process from “grain to glass,” and head to the adjacent pub, The Rake, for some complimentary tastings. Tickets are $20 for a 1-hour tour and 2 half-pours.
They Love Each Other: Collabs Among Friends + Hot Steep Happy Hour
5pm Monday, February 14
Admiral Maltings – 651A W Tower Ave, Alameda
This Valentine’s Day Party will include a demonstration of the hot steep method for getting malt flavor, a Rye Pastiche beer collab between Admiral Maltings and Break Even Beer Makers, a new beer on tap from AltBrau, and live music! No tickets needed.
Singin’ with the Sisters
7pm Friday, February 18
Laughing Monk – 1439 Egbert Ave, Unit A, San Francisco
KJ Eileen and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will host an epic karaoke event to celebrate the release of Laughing-Monk’s ‘Full of Zin’ wine-lager hybrid, which is 5 months in the making. Cousins Maine Lobster truck will be serving food.
