San Francisco has several world-class art museums that regularly draw crowds to unique exhibitions. One of the city’s iconic museums is celebrating a major milestone this weekend, its 100th anniversary. The Legion of Honor was first opened in 1924, and now 100 years later it’s still a major destination to see beautiful art.
The museum is well known for its stunning architecture and galleries filled with European art. You’ll find plenty of impressionist masterpieces in the galleries, along with a sculpture room and an array of historic furniture. To celebrate its 100th year, the museum is hosting a series of events that will last a full year, starting this week.
