The San Francisco marathon is back for 2025 this weekend, featuring multiple races with thousands of participants. The SF marathon first started in 1977, with 1,000 finishers. Since then, it’s grown into a massive event that encompasses the whole weekend. In 2017, the race garnered 27,000 participants. The massive event is an exciting time in SF, but it also will cause many changes to transit and getting around the city throughout the weekend. Keep reading for road closures, muni reroutes, and more this weekend in SF.
