Every spring, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art hosts the Art Bash, an exciting party that serves as a major fundraiser for the museum. The party gives guests access to a beautiful museum, while offering live music, artist performances, served with cocktails and small bites. Attendees can expect a lineup curated by the Stern Grove Festival and art activations by local artists Rose D’Amato and Rupy C. Tut.

The party offers multiple ticket tiers, offering different levels of experience depending on price. Dinner tickets are the most expensive, starting at 3,500 per guest, although the ticket comes with dinner and a live auction by Sotheby’s. A ticket to the party after dinner costs $250 per guest, giving access to exhibits and live performances with complimentary food and drink. For $500, guests can get the premium party lounge ticket, which allows guests to skip the line for the party and specialty cocktails. While dinner tickets and early entry to the party can be quite expensive, you can still join the party for $95, from 10 pm to 1 am, and enjoy the exhibits, performances, and cocktails.

The party typically raises $2.5 million every year and helps fund the museum’s community programs and educational events. SFMOMA is currently presenting the pop-culture exhibit KAWS: FAMILY, along with a new exhibit featuring Alexander Calder’s mobiles. You can expect to see their permanent collection on display at the Art Bash as well. The 2026 Art Bash is on April 29, from 6 pm to 1 am, and the event is for adults 21 and over, so be sure to bring an ID.
