Fall is quickly approaching, meaning back to school, turning leaves, and, for the sports fans, football. College football season is finally here, and Stanford is starting the season with a family-friendly event. On Saturday, September 16, Stanford Children’s Health is hosting Cardinal Kids Day to celebrate the home opening game against Sacramento State.
Cardinal Kids Day offers free admission for youths, plus pre-game activities. The event allows up to 4 free youth tickets with the purchase of an adult ticket, and single-game tickets start at $15 for adults.
The pre-game festivities include kid-friendly games and inflatable toys. Plus, several food trucks will be attending, including Grillman, Flor de Pineapple, and Twister/Rolling Duck. The food truck cuisine ranges from classic burgers to chow mein and more. A shaved ice cream truck will be serving refreshing treats for dessert. The Fan Fest games include a carousel bounce house, rock climbing wall, photo booth, and cornhole. Plus, kids can get their faces painted or a fun balloon animal as a souvenir.
