Stern Grove Tickets
While the concerts are free, it can be difficult to get tickets due to the high demand. Last year, the festival changed its ticketing policy to better accommodate more people, releasing tickets in a variety of ways. Tickets are available via a lottery 6 weeks in advance of each show, at aBay Region Symphony of the Federal Music Project or through giveaways. While the concert is free, you can also reserve a table via a donation that helps fund the festival.
About Stern Grove Festival
The free festival first started in 1938 by Rosalie Stern. The Bay Region Symphony of the Federal Music Project was the first performance in the park, running from July through September. From there, the festival has grown into a major event, with San Franciscans packing the park every summer.
