Stern Grove Festival is coming back for its 85th season with a new lineup of free concerts starting June 12.
Who’s ready to see some live music?! Stern Grove Festival, a FREE outdoor concert series featuring a wide variety of genres, has just released its summer lineup.
The festival is running for 10 Sundays this summer, starting June 12 and ending August 14.
As was the case last year, the concerts remain free but guests must register online beforehand to reserve a spot. Tickets will be released at 2pm exactly 12 days prior to each event, offering first-come, first-served free passes.
After Stern Grove suffered extensive water damage last summer, the festival was forced to cancel its grand finale event. Renovations are still not 100% complete, but the venue has been approved for in-person use and you better believe they’ll be back in style! After 8 decades at this legendary venue space, Stern Grove concerts are the stuff of legends.
Stern Grove Festival has hosted free summer concerts for over 85 years. Headliners have included everyone from Grammy winners to rising stars, including names like Mitski, The Doobie Brothers, Carlos Santana, Pink Martini, Janelle Monae, and more.
“We are thrilled to be able to present our 85th season this summer, especially after overcoming another set of challenges with the aftermath of the flood last summer. Bringing live music back to the Grove provides our community the opportunity to gather and enjoy our free concerts, and we are grateful to be able to fulfill our mission to do just that,” said Executive Director Bob Fiedler.
Sigmund Stern Recreation Grove, known to locals as Stern Grove, is located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in Pine Lake Park.
