Tony’s Pizza Napoletana was just ranked one of the top 10 pizza places in the world, according to 50 Top Pizza. The site regularly ranks the best pizza joins, and Tony’s has made the cut yet again, holding its own against fierce competition from around the globe. Tony’s came in #6 for 2024, after ranking #4 in 2023 for the United States. Tony’s also came in second place in the United States rankings, only behind New York City’s Una Pizza Napoletana, which was also crowned the best pizza in the world. Italy was well represented in the rankings, with three Italy-based restaurants in the top 5.

About Tony’s Pizza Napoletana
The San Francisco gem was started by Tony Gemignani, who drew inspiration from the classic pizzerias in Naples, Italy. The full service kitchen has 7 ovens, and serves almost every type of pizza you can imagine. Gemignani has been making his now-famous pizza since 1991, and his restaurant has won numerous awards through out the years.
You can try Tony’s famous pizza at 1570 Stockton St in North Beach. The pizzeria is in the heart of North Beach, surrounded by plenty of great bars, shops, and restaurants. The restaurant doesn’t take any reservations, so we recommend leaving yourself extra time in case you have to wait for a seating.
