Vacant to Vibrant is a program that brings local businesses to Downtown San Francisco, offering previously vacant spaces to be pop-up stores for the businesses. The program was launched in 2023 and has since been hailed as a major success, with many businesses deciding to extend their pop-ups into long-term leases.
Now, the newest batch of businesses in the program has been announced, and San Franciscans can expect three new businesses to open their doors soon.
“These new openings, empowered by the Vacant to Vibrant program, mean that more creativity and excitement are on their way to downtown San Francisco,” said District 3 Supervisor Danny Sauter. “Vacant to Vibrant has been such a success because it allows San Francisco’s best asset, its people, to overcome barriers to unleash their entrepreneurial dream and bring their talent directly to people in new retail spaces across our city.”
Charmed SF is a boutique founded by SF Native Alicia Marazzani, offering charm bracelet making with over 1,000 unique charms. The new location will offer workshops and a creative space, and is open to the public. You can check it out in Three Embarcadero.
ZastaStudio is also opening in the historic Palace Hotel’s retail space. The SF-based clothing brand offers sustainable pieces, and you can check out the grand opening next weekend.
Finally, Berkeley-based cafe Elaichi Co. will open at Yerba Buena at 360 Third Street. The cafe is known specifically for its chai and tea blends, and you can check it out starting this Saturday, April 25.
The three new shops are just the latest addition to the Vacant to Vibrant program, which has launched 38 pop-ups and 10 storefronts have gone permanent. You can learn more about the program here.
