Skip the Valentine’s Day cliches and party it up this year at Value Culture’s 5th annual Goat My Valentine Fashion Show. It’ll all go down at Union Square on Feb. 14th from 4-6pm. Watch surprise guests walk the runway with actual goats and then keep the energy up at a 21+ after party. The best part? You’ll help raise money for charity!
The festivities begin with GOAT (Greatest of All Time) surprise guests including Senator Scott Weiner, The Last Black Man in San Francisco actor Jimmie Fails, rappers Big Rich and Project Level, Food Network’s House of Fang’s Chefs Kathy and Peter Fang, artist Jeremy Fish, and more. They’ll strut their stuff accompanied by real live goats rockin’ the chicest barnyard fashions.
The event includes a SnapFiesta photo booth and a lively beer garden hosted by Hawthorn. After the show, you can head over to Hawthorn at 46 Geary Street for an epic after party.
But… why the goats? Well, these ones represent City Grazing, an SF-based goat landscaping nonprofit dedicated to sustainable land management and fire risk reduction. Proceeds from the event will go to support City Grazing’s efforts as well as several other participating nonprofits.
Value Culture is the nonprofit organization behind this beloved fashion show event. They work to produce local community-oriented events in the realms of arts, education, spirituality, and culture.
The Goat My Valentine Fashion Show is also made possible thanks to efforts by the Union Square Alliance, Britex Fabrics, and SF Recreation and Parks.
“We at City Grazing are beyond thrilled to partner with Value Culture, the Union Square Alliance, and all of these incredible VIPs in order to show love for the heart of San Francisco and its unmatched cultural icons,” said City Grazing founder Genevieve Church. “And of course we are also delighted to showcase and champion the hard work done by our beloved goats to make our city more sustainable and fire resistant! As the last herd residing and grazing in San Francisco, we know a thing or two about being the best at what we do, too!”
