Oracle Park is known for its exciting ball games, but this weekend you can experience the stadium in a whole new way. The park will host a movie screening of Halloween hit Beetlejuice Beetlejuice this weekend, on Friday November 1. Viewers will have the chance to view the sequel to the Tim Burton hit on the jumbo screen, while watching from the field.
The itinerary for the night includes more than just screening the movie. “Shrinkers” from the film will team up with Giants mascot Lou Seal on the field before the film. Viewers are welcome to participate in a Halloween costume contest with the chance to win Beetlejuice Beetlejuice merch.
True to the movie, the park will be decked out in Beetlejuice related decorations, and themed food and drinks will be available. Plus, you can look forward to a “black carpet’ and plenty of photo opportunities.
Doors for the event will open at 6:00 pm, and the movie is scheduled to start at 7:15 pm. Organizers encourage guests to dress in your favorite costume, but make sure you bring plenty of layers since the screening is outdoor (and we all know SF nights can get notoriously chilly). Seating is all general admission, so bring a picnic blanket and get comfortable for the film.
This isn’t the first movie night Oracle Park has hosted. The baseball stadium has utilized its massive scoreboard in the past to host popular movie mights. A screening of the hit film Barbie was a success last fall, and the stadium continues to host exciting events year-round when the Giants aren’t playing on the field.
Tickets for the event cost $25 and are available online. You can bring your own food and drink inside, although alcohol, glass, and coolers are not allowed. Don’t miss the screening of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice at Oracle Park this Friday, November 1st.
