With the 2026 FIFA World Cup in our sights, the Bay Area’s official poster has been revealed! San Francisco artist LeRoid David honors the Bay Area with a design featuring colorful and impactful imagery of local landmarks. This is one of 16 posters representing the 16 host cities, all of which will be under a global spotlight during June and July 2026.
David’s design prominently features the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge, two unmistakable landmarks recognizable around the world. The two bridge towers appear beneath a soccer football illustrated in blue and gold, which are the California state colors.
In and around this imagery you’ll also see a colorful depiction of Levi’s Stadium, which will host six of the World Cup matches; layered bright white clouds honoring the Bay’s famous fog; graphic triangular trees representing California’s redwood forests; and circuit board designs as an ode to Silicon Valley.
LeRoid David’s design won a poster contest hosted by the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) and FIFA during the winter of 2024. David, a second-generation Filipino American from San Francisco, is an alumnus of San Francisco State University. His work has been featured in materials for numerous local major league sports teams including the Giants, the Warriors, the 49ers, and the Sharks.
“This is more than a poster—it represents a lasting moment in time,” commented Zaileen Janmohamed, President and CEO of the Bay Area Host Committee, in a press release. “As the FIFA World Cup 26™ is played across 16 cities in three countries for the first time, LeRoid’s design will be etched in history as the Bay Area’s artistic contribution to this unprecedented global celebration of the game.”
David’s poster is the 7th poster revealed during a month-long rollout. So far, we’ve seen posters for Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Toronto, and now the San Francisco Bay Area.
