A brand new Friday night event called Bhangra and Beats Night Market is coming to Downtown SF on May 12, July 14, and September 8th.
It features a variety of street food vendors, cocktails, and goods from local artisans. Over 30 unique local artisans and retailers will participate in the event. Goods include hard-to-find Indian goods and San Francisco Bay Area-made jewelry, apparel, personal care, and art.
This new event is a collaboration between renowned SF dance party Non Stop Bhangra and Into The Streets, a cultural production studio specializing in outdoor civic and cultural events.
Non Stop Bhangra is one of the most popular dance parties in the Bay Area. Their events highlight the ancestral roots of the Punjabi dance while pushing boundaries with contemporary influences. North Indian Bhangra music mixed with reggae, hip-hop, and electronica. Dance lessons are part of every event and promise to get you dancing in the streets.
Bhangra and Beats Night Market is a fiscally sponsored project of the nonprofit Livable City and is presented in partnership with the Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the SF Mayor’s Office.
This new event will take place in SF’s FiDi, centered at the corner of Clay and Battery Streets.
Bhangra and Beats is a free, all-age event, and will take place on May 12, July 14, and September 8th from 5pm until 10pm.
