The Castro is bringing back one of its popular free events this weekend to celebrate Halloween. The neighborhood’s monthly night market and party is back this Saturday, October 31, for a Halloween party, with food, music, and live performances.
Castro Halloween block party

This weekend, the Castro Night Market is returning for a special Halloween celebration with music, local vendors, and fun performances. The free Halloween block party will take place on Saturday, October 31, between 5 and 10 pm. The neighborhood will also host family-friendly trick-or-treating earlier in the evening from 5 to 7 pm.
The night market and community party will take over four blocks in the Castro with three stages. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume to fully embrace the Halloween spirit and enter a festive costume contest.
The three stages will host a variety of performances, including a Night of the Living Dead Drag Show, Rope Kink Performances, and live music. Plenty of food and drink vendors will be in attendance, and after the market, you can stop by one of the many popular bars and restaurants nearby.
The market takes place at the intersection of 18th and Castro, and will run from 5 to 10 pm. You can learn more at the Castro Night Market website. Check out our roundup of Halloween things to do around San Francisco for more festive events.
