In 2024, San Francisco established its first entertainment zones, with the first opening on Front Street in Downtown. Since then, the entertainment zone has hosted many free block parties with live music, activities, and to-go beverages. This weekend, the entertainment zone is hosting another free party, this time to celebrate Halloween.
Nightmare on Front Street

On Friday, October 30, the Front Street Entertainment Zone will host a free Halloween party from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The free party is the perfect way to start Halloween weekend, and attendees are encouraged to wear their best costumes. You can expect themed cocktails and activities, along with live music.
Participating bars on the block, including Schroeder’s, Harrington’s, and Royal Exchange, will have special cocktails throughout the night. Previously, the Front Street Entertainment Zones have hosted several free parties on Friday nights, most recently a free party to celebrate Fleet Week.
The block party is easily accessible via public transit, including BART and Muni. Bring your ID to the party if you plan to enjoy a cocktail. There are plenty of exciting ways to celebrate Halloween in San Francisco, including a party at the de Young on Thursday, October 29, and a massive concert at the Palace of Fine Arts.
