A big weekend is coming up for San Francisco. NBA All-Star weekend is bringing plenty of events and major games, and Chinatown’s historic Lunar New Year Parade will take over the streets for the beloved celebration. With a packed calendar this weekend, you can expect the city to feel very busy.
To accommodate the influx of events—and people—SF Muni will be free for passengers on February 15 and 16. All Muni routes and services, aside from cable cars, will be free all day on Saturday and Sunday.
Due to the events, various reroutes will also be necessary this weekend, so we recommend adding extra time for any travel and expect some delays.

Many Muni routes that go through those neighborhoods will also be affected due to the road closures, including the 6 Haight/ Parnassus, 7 Haight Parnassus, 30 Stockton, 38 Geary, and more.
