A popular night market is returning this week for a special celebration with local vendors, music, and more. The second Sunset Night Market of the year is returning this week, on Friday, June 12, this time to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. Keep reading for all the details.
Sunset Night Market: Dragon Boat Festival

The Sunset Night Market first debuted in 2024, drawing thousands of people to the neighborhood to sample local food, shop, and enjoy live performances. The market took a hiatus in 2025, but returned this February for a special Lunar New Year celebration.
Now, the market is back, this time to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. The market is the second of four scheduled for 2026 and will take place between 5 pm and 10 pm on Irving Street, between 20th and 25th Avenues, in the Sunset District. The night market is celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese Holiday that falls on June 19 this year. The holiday often includes holding dragon boat races and sticky rice dumplings called zongzi.

The five-block night market will include local food vendors, live entertainment, and artisan creatives selling handmade goods. The market is family-friendly and open to all ages, and is free to attend.
Check out the schedule for the rest of the year:
