San Francisco has recently been preparing for the summer with a series of wholesome block parties and free neighborhood celebrations. This weekend, another popular neighborhood festival is scheduled in the Marina District, taking over five blocks on Union Street for two days. Keep reading for all the details.
Union Street Festival 2026

The Union Street Festival is this weekend, on June 6 and 7, between Fillmore and Gough Street. The weekend-long festival will run from 11 am to 7 pm, and will feature live music, local vendors, food, and more.
The festival is celebrating its 48th year, making it one of the longest-running events of its kind in San Francisco. The festival will have three stages and a DJ zone, with a packed lineup each day. You can see over 30 performers throughout the 2-day festival and shop at a market of local vendors selling handmade items and other goods.
San FranPsycho will also host live screen printing, and if you’re in the mood for a drink, you can grab a beer from a Bay Area brewery. Of course, we recommend exploring the many businesses on the street, including local boutiques, wine bars, and restaurants. One of the festival’s more inventive traditions is the Waiters’ Race, a relay race in which local hospitality teams run while balancing trays.
The Union Street Festival is hosted by the Union Street Merchants Association and Sunset Mercantile. Sunset Mercantile hosts numerous events around the city, including free block parties like Cole Valley Nights and the Sunset Night Market.
