Pride Weekend is almost here, which means you can expect plenty of exciting Pride events throughout the city. While the parade on Sunday and the celebration at Civic Center are the main events, the city will be filled with celebrations, including the Golden Gate Park Bandshell.
Queer Country Hoedown at the Golden Gate Bandshell
The Bandshell in Golden Gate Park regularly hosts free concerts every week, showcasing local musicians while the public can enjoy the live music. This weekend, the music series is hosting a special event to celebrate Pride.
On Saturday, June 27, the Golden Gate Bandshell will host a free country concert, titled Queer Country Hoedown. The show starts at 12 pm and ends at 4 pm, with a packed lineup of local performers including Country Risqué, HRT, Lil Mar Mar, Lizz Shine, and Squeakie.
Viewers can also expect a drag show during intermission featuring Mezcal Lynn, Dionysus, Papi Payaso, and mIke sTrapOn. It promises to be an exciting afternoon filled with music, dancing, and fabulous drag performances, so be sure to mark your calendar for the free event.
The concert is a collaboration between Big Leap Collective, Illuminate, and SF Recreation and Parks.
