A new community street festival is coming to Larkin Street in San Francisco, featuring live music, karaoke, family-friendly activities, and plenty of great food. The community events are free and open to the public, and are intended to highlight the food and local businesses in the Tenderloin.
The first festival of 2026 is this weekend, on Saturday, May 9, and is the fifth annual 5th Annual AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) Heritage Month Block Party. The May block party is just the first in a series of street festivals running through the end of the year.
“The Tenderloin is one of the most culturally rich neighborhoods in San Francisco, and AAPI Heritage Month is the perfect moment to celebrate the communities that have shaped this neighborhood for generations,” said Kate Robinson, CEO of the Tenderloin Community Benefit District. “Live on Larkin is about bringing people together in the streets—supporting local businesses, uplifting culture, and reminding the city that the Tenderloin is a place full of life, creativity, and incredible food.”

This month’s festival will feature K-pop DJs, cultural performances, and tons of food from neighborhood vendors. Some of the programming includes a fashion show and Vietnamese cultural programming, such as lion dancing. Some of the food vendors you can expect include Lers Rose, Son&Garden, Siagon Sandwich, and Pho 2000.
The party will start at 12 pm on Saturday, and last until 5 pm on Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell. Check out the full schedule for Live on Larkin
