San Francisco’s Downtown First Thursdays are wrapping up the year with a performance by none other than Rebecca Black. On December 5, 2024, the viral music artist will bring her DJ set to the streets of downtown SF at Howard and 2nd St.
As part of the Downtown First Thursdays series, this monthly block party has been dedicated to revitalizing SF’s downtown with immersive entertainment, local art, and live performances.
Originally launched in May 2024, the event has grown into a popular community gathering, attracting crowds with DJ sets, drag shows, and even a giant disco ball lighting up the streets. The monthly event is known to draw large crowds to downtown with the free shows and family-friendly events.
Rebecca Black has made waves in pop culture, evolving from her viral, 2011 hit song “Friday” to become an influential artist known for her role in the queer and underground music scenes. Black released her debut studio album Let Her Burn in 2023, after releasing multiple singles and EPs throughout her career. The musician has gained popularity for her DJ sets, including her performance at Portola Festival in SF this past September. Black is set to bring her trailblazing pop energy to the free set in SF’s downtown.
