San Francisco’s 5.4-acre floating park is about to get a little funkier.
Suds Francisco: A Funk & Fermentation Festival descends on Salesforce Park this Sunday, August 23, hosting an afternoon of fermented drinks, pickly food, and funky music. It’s all part of the epic Rooftop Rhythms anniversary weekend from Friday to Sunday.
A celebration of all things funky
Presented by Barebottle Brewing and the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, the first-ever “Suds Francisco” event is dedicated to the culinary art of fermentation. From farmhouse ales and kombucha to sourdough, tempeh, and kimchi, there’s plenty of funky food to enjoy while you listen to sets from Katdelic and Afterthought.
The event is open to all ages for free to come and enjoy the vibes and music. However, you’ll need to purchase a ticket if you want to participate in the unlimited food and drink tastings from more than 40 vendors.
Look forward to specialty food and drink from powerhouse businesses including SF’s own Ocean Beach Cafe, one of the world’s first non-alcoholic bars; Santa Cruz’s Sante Adairius Rustic Ales, a mixed-fermentation specialist brewery; and the always-popular Rize Up Sourdough, whose creative sourdough loaves draw a dedicated following.
On the music side, DJ Cole Odin will keep the energy up all day in the Main Plaza. Over on the amphitheater stage, guests can look forward to live performances by Katdelic featuring P-Funk All-Star RonKat Spearman, as well as Afterthought & The Top Chefs.
