San Francisco Beer Week kicks off this weekend, with local bars and breweries hosting events through March 1. Even SFMTA is joining the fun, with a hop on hop off bar crawl to local pubs in several neighborhoods starting this Friday, February 20. The pub crawl features over 15 local bars spread across 4 Muni routes: Haight, 14 Mission, T Third, and 22 Fillmore.
You can order the Hop on Muni IPA at any participating bar and get a sticker for each route you take. You can also get a sticker at Standard Deviant and an SFCFC sticker to complete the full crawl. If you collect all six stickers, you can enter to win a grand prize after the crawl. You have until March 1 to collect your 6 stickers and submit them to Standard Deviant for a prize, so you have all week to explore the four routes. If you’re eager to start the crawl, head to Standard Deviant at 5 pm on Friday for the first pour celebration.
The pub crawl is the result of a partnership between SFMTA, San Francisco City Football Club, and Standard Deviant Brewing. The event debuted last year and was deemed a success, with local bars seeing an influx of customers to kick off Beer Week. Standard Deviant even added Hop on Muni IPA to their beer rotation due to its popularity at the 2025 event.

Organizers have even created a live map with the four routes marked with each pub, and real-time estimates of when the next bus will arrive. Check out the Muni Pub Crawl map here.
