Asian Art Museum Pride Kickoff Party
The Asian Art Museum is kicking off Pride Month with an exciting, family-friendly rave. The party will feature DJ Chico Chi, a queer and nonbinary transmasc DJ and producer. The family-friendly dance party will take place on June 7th, during one of the museum’s free first Sundays. The daytime party will kick off at 2 pm at the East West Bank Art Terrace in the museum. While you’re there, you can also explore the museum’s many galleries filled with art.
The Asian Art Museum recently opened a major new exhibition, Chiharu Shiota: Two Home Countries, which features an immersive gallery covered in a web of red threads. The new exhibit has four sections and focuses on themes of memory and identity. Two Home Countries will only be open until July 20, so this Sunday is the perfect time to explore the exhibit if you haven’t already.
