Thrive City’s 2024 Winter Wonderland is almost here! It all begins Nov. 30, 2024, with a lighting ceremony for the largest holiday tree in the Bay Area, which stands at a whopping 90 feet tall.
The entertainment venue will host a series of special events on select days in December. Read on for a summary of what to put on your calendar, and be sure to RSVP to claim your free spot ahead of time for each event.
Nov. 30: Lighting Ceremony
A two-hour showcase starting at 3:30 pm with special performances, food, and festivities leading up to the highly-anticipated holiday tree lighting. Montell Jordan is scheduled to perform at the festive event.
Dec. 29: Hanukkah celebration
Starting at 2 pm, celebrate the Festival of Lights with a menorah lighting ceremony, live entertainment, festive arts and crafts, and Jewish treats. Free with RSVP.
Dec 21-27 : Free ice skating
The free ice rink will only be open on select dates in December, so you’ll need to RSVP and get there early to hit the ice. Skate sessions are limited to 20-30 minutes per person, and complimentary skate rentals will be available. Specific dates include a lively DJ Skate Party planned in the afternoon and Santa photo opportunities.
Dec. 31: Kwanzaa & Noon Year’s Eve
Ring in 2025 and celebrate Kwanzaa with a midday ball drop and countdown, arts and crafts, treats, and music by Soji Sai Afrobeat. The daytime celebration runs from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Thrive City’s 2024 Winter Wonderland is an absolute must this season, so be sure to check out the special events or stop by to see the giant holiday tree throughout the season. The experience is ideal for kids and families. Still, adults can also enjoy their day at Thrive City with an extra stop at Harmonic Brewing, Miller & Lux, or Cupcakin’ Bake Shop.
