The Castro is kicking off the weekend with one of its popular free events, with drag shows, local vendors, and more. This is the last Friday night market of the season in the Castro, and it has a fabulous Disco Drag theme complete with live performances, DJs, food vendors, and more.
Castro Night Market September 2026
This Friday, September 18, is the Castro’s last monthly night market of 2026. The popular event is more than just a night market; it features plenty of live entertainment, turning into a free community block party. This month’s theme is Drag Disco, complete with drag performances, live music, and karaoke all night. DJs will also be spinning away during the free event. Of course, you can expect a selection of local vendors selling food, clothing, and more.
The night market takes place on Castro and 18th Streets, along the bustling commercial corridor that is home to many iconic businesses, including the historic Castro Theater, Hot Cookie, and the 24-hour restaurant Twin Peaks. The festivities kick off at 5 pm and run until 10 pm. While you’re in the neighborhood, we recommend exploring some of the many bars and restaurants, which range from charming wine bars to packed clubs full of dancing.
The seasonal night markets typically draw many visitors, so we recommend taking public transportation as parking may be difficult to find in the area. Check out the Castro Night Market this Friday from 5 to 10 pm on 18th and Castro St.
