Illuminate LIVE returns March 1, 2026 with over 125 free concerts through November.
Illuminate LIVE, a free concert series at the Golden Gate Bandshell in Golden Gate Park, returns beginning Sunday, March 1, 2026, offering more than 125 free performances between March and November. Concerts are held primarily on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays with select Saturdays added throughout the season.
Celebrate Om Records’ 30th anniversary with a free day party at the Embarcadero.
Another Planet Entertainment is hosting a free Om Records 30-year anniversary EDM day party at the Embarcadero on May 9, starting at 1:00 PM, featuring Mark Farina, Colette b2b DJ Heather, Shiny Objects, and J Boogie. The all-ages event is free and attendees can RSVP online to secure tickets.
Don’t miss a free four-hour techno show in Union Square on May 2, 2026.
A free techno concert featuring Joey Beltram and local DJs will take place in Union Square on May 2, 2026, with music from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The family-friendly event is organized by Free Techno SF and is open to all ages.
San Francisco is buzzing with free music as the Civic Center Soundtrack concert series returns, providing vibrant live performances from local artists every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 3 pm through October. Held in Fulton Plaza, the series features a mix of performers and will also feature various food trucks.
Stern Grove Festival is one of San Francisco’s most popular events every summer, bringing major artists to the scenic park for free performances. This year’s lineup includes Major Lazer, Suki Waterhouse, Patti LaBelle, and many more. The free shows start on June 14 and will end on August 15, 2026.

Golden Gate Park Band Sunday Shows
The historic Golden Gate Park Band performs on Sunday afternoons at the iconic bandshell in Golden Gate Park. The shows start at 1 pm and run until 2:30 or 2:45 pm, and you can expect a large brass band composed of local musicians.
