San Francisco has a thriving art scene, and this weekend, art enthusiasts can explore a unique art fair at Fort Mason Center. The fair, called Superfair (formerly Superfine Art Fair), will fill the Gateway Pavilion with over 180 artists starting on March 19 through March 22.
Superfair is artist-led, which means you can buy original artwork directly from artists. Over 180 artists will be selling their work at the fair, including local artists and many from around the globe. The fair is an ideal opportunity for people looking to start an art collection, as you can explore a range of artists showcasing original works at various price points.

The art fair will feature various activations, performances, and art demos throughout the four-day run. Some highlights include a harp performance, a DJ, live art demos, and enjoying drinks at the fair. Plus, be sure to stop by Superfair’s collaboration with Frameline, which will feature continuous screenings of A Persistence of Vision: Experimental Queer Shorts.

The four-day fair will be open from 4 pm to 10 pm on Thursday and Friday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for the fair start at $25 and give you access to one day of the fair. If you buy the Art Insider pass or Supercharged Pass, you can also attend an opening reception on Thursday night, which will feature performance art and drinks.
Superfair is just one of many events that Fort Mason Center hosts, including regular craft fairs and night markets. Plus, we recommend stopping by the weekly Farmer’s Market on Sunday mornings for fresh produce before exploring the art fair.
