Love is in the air at Outside Lands 2025. Outside Lands is continuing their unique wedding ceremonies for 2025, debuting them at last year’s festival. You can get married at the SF music festival, renew your vows, or have a recommitment ceremony in their “City Hall” program.
The music festival’s wedding venue is in Golden Gate Park’s McLaren Pass, and organizers say it’s inspired by the “city’s botanical beauty and civic architecture.” Outside Lands will do most of the planning for you, providing an officiant, photographer, wedding lounge, seats for friends and family, and even some drink tokens. If you know anything about wedding planning, this is definitely a tempting offer. You’ll also get a small locker for the day to store any wedding materials that you don’t want to have to carry around the festival with you.
The time slot for your wedding is short, with only 15 minutes for each couple, and the total ceremony only lasts 5 minutes. The ceremony is for legal unions or recommitment ceremonies only, so while much of the planning pressure is off your shoulders, you still need to bring a marriage license.
While getting married at a music festival might seem like the perfect spontaneous wedding story, you do need to reserve your slot in advance. California is a state where you can get a same-day marriage license, so you do have some room for spontaneity. City Hall is only for festival ticket holders and is considered an “add-on” experience, with your ceremony costing $570. While it might seem costly for a short ceremony, if you know anything about wedding planning, it’s pretty cheap compared to other options. You can also have a ceremony and reception in Wine Lands for a total of $5,492, including wine, a 3-hour reception, a wedding cake, and more.
Tickets for the festival start at $529 for a 3-day GA pass, and $799 for GA+. VIP tickets are currently sold out, but if you really want to splurge, you can get tickets to the Golden Gate Club for $5,299. Single-day tickets have not been released yet.
